Yes, it will be slow. Yes, it will be unsteady. Yes, it will be hard. And no, I won’t win any gold medals for my stellar physical achievements. But I can measure a “win” in other ways. I can win by continuing to try every day. I can win by choosing to focus on the things I can control rather than the symptom progression that I can’t. And most importantly, I can win by vulnerably shining goodness, love, encouragement, hope, and kindness into the world.
